Violencia y maltratos en el hogar ejercidos por el 61% de los padres en Paraguay
El 61 por ciento de los niños y adolescentes paraguayos es víctima de violencia y maltratos en el hogar ejercidos por los padres, según una encuesta difundida hoy por el Fondo de Naciones Unidas para la Infancia (Unicef).
La investigación también reveló que los castigos físicos y la violencia emocional, como las humillaciones verbales, son considerados formas culturalmente aceptables de "educación".
Andrea Sid, experta en temas de protección infantil de Unicef en Paraguay, dijo que del total de niños encuestados, 35 por ciento reportó ser víctima de castigos físicos graves, 13 por ciento de violencia leve y otro 13 por ciento de violencia psicológica.
"Los maltratos graves eran golpes con objetos, patadas, quemaduras y algún tipo de asfixia", describió Sid.

Lo claro en este informe de Unicef es que el maltrato no esta relacionado a un estrato socioeconomico particular. Si bien gracias a Dios no ocurre en todas las familias , peor es cuando sucede en la clase pudiente. Los padres de la clase mal llamada "alta" , dan responsabilidad a las "sirvientas" pero no gozan de autoridad ante los niños que deben cuidar . Los padres de paso no permiten "la duda de nada" ademas de no aceptar que sus hijos discutan con ellos en las reuniones familiares. Se generan asi ciudadanos no aptos para defender sus ideas que prefieren no involucrarse y escapar ahogandose en el alcohol y en la indolencia. @trompo
